After a long absence

Seeing as how it's been a 3rd of a year since I've made an entry, there's a lot to say. I've started my job that my last post was about. In fact, I started it over a month ago, on May 8th. Wow, I just counted and I'm starting my 6th week at State Street tomorrow, time flies. I'm enjoying myself. Like most things, it's not what you do but who you do it with. For example, my house in Hamilton wasn't the nicest, but I wouldn't trade it for anything, because my housemates were (it's hard to use the past tense, and to generally come to grips with the reality that I no longer live there) so great. It's the same way with State Street, the reason I like the job is primarily because of my coworkers, and how nice and cool they are, the actual job functions are secondary.
Not that the job is bad or anything, because it's not. I thought it might be repetitive, but it's not as repetitive as I thought it would be. It's just routine enough that I can do part of the job quickly, but enough new things happen each day that I have to constantly be on my toes.
I'm not sure that makes much sense. I'll try and explain it better. The job is routine in the morning but the afternoons always present at least a few unique problems. I'm told that even after a year, it'll be the same way, because new and unique problems always pop up.

It'll be hard to address everything that's happened in the last 4 months, but I'll try and address a few more.
I've moved out of Glenmount permanently. The plan when I go back for a fifth year is to live in a fairly nice place with Arthur, and maybe Adam. All three of us are currently on internship, so it'll be a rocking place once we get back.
I'm currently living at home, with my parents. Which has its ups and downs. I go back to Hamilton every so often, which helps me keep my sanity. My parents aren't bad, don't get me wrong, I've just gotten used to a certain degree of freedom, and when I'm home here in Toronto, I can't enjoy that same degree of freedom.
That's not to say I haven't had some good nights out though! They're just not as regular as they were back in Hamilton. I'm staying in more often on Friday and Saturday nights. Although Thursday nights are another story :.
I go out with my coworkers every so often as well, which is a welcome treat. Because, when I worked at CIBC last summer, all of my coworkers were 40+ and had families, so they wouldn't go out on Fridays. Whereas, my coworkers this year are all 26-30 (my manager just turned 30), so for example, we all went out to a bar last Friday and had a few "pops" (as Don Cherry would say).

The semester went fairly well. I got my worst mark from Securities, but I will continue to press on. Overall, this year boosted my CA (that's GPA to you non-Mac'ers). I still hope to do my CFA eventually. I'm not sure if I'll do my CSC as planned. I may now wait until I'm back at school to do it. However, I am still planning on taking a course at U of T either in the winter term (Jan/07-April/07) or the summer after that. It'll be some sort of actuarial math course.

In an odd twist, I am now in bed every night by midnight. Which, after going to bed at 1 at the earliest (including last summer when I worked 9-5) for the past 3 years is a huge change, I'm now feeling healthier. It may also be because I go to the gym more regularly (4 times a week from my usual 3, which may not sound like a lot, but it's a huge change since I still only work out during the weekdays).

That's all I can think of for now. I'll post more regularly, since this is relaxing for me.
