I really have no idea why the blue wolf guy was so riled at me, but from what I can make out he wanted to break my nose for something involving a nice smell? As he threw a punch at me, however, I fell over in shock and he went flying into a wall. Knocked himself out cold

She left and returned with an ice pack, then climbed up on his bed and rolled him over, resting his head in her lap while she applied the ice pack to the welt on his forehead. She'd have a few words for him when he woke up.

Eventually, his yellow eyes opened, then closed again, brow furrowing deeply.
"...anyone get the number of that double decker bus?"

He snarled. "How he managed to dodge I don't know... but he won't do it again I can tell you that much. He must have hit me with a pole or a crowbar or something...."

What he needed was some sort of answer or to be performing some sort of action. He was angry and felt betrayed. That she would show that sort of interest in another man after what had hapened since Valentines day was painful. However, he wasn't the sort to treat pain with tears or melancholy. If he were to do that, he'd have spent most of his life in tears. He either ignored pain or fought whatever was causing it. And since he couldn't exactly do that either, Clark just seemed a convenient target to vent on.
And he didn't quite have the ability or the drive to verbalise all this so he just stood there, looking at the door as if he wanted to bolt.

She hadn't been planning on this for quite some time. In fact, after this last week's humiliating display this would have been the last thing on her mind for some time now. But seeing the mood he was in, she felt like she had to prove something to him. Actions spoke louder than words, and she was desperate... She got to her knees while he was still looking away from her and started to unbutton her shirt. "Now just come back to bed and let me take care of you, okay?" she suggested hopefully.

"....so every sixth months you get that, right?" he asked. He was pretty sure that was what she'd told him before. "Is it like that each time? Am I going to have to watch close the whole week twice a year to make sure men don't take you up on whatever it is you're puttin' on offer?"
And we've been here over a year now... has this happened before? Were there even any other men here last time? Who didn't look more like food than anything else? I doubt she'd go after someone like Scrooge. Oh GOD at least it wasn't Scrooge....
