So, odd question for you HP fandomers on my f-list. Does anyone know of the existence of a Slytherin-centric fic/art exchange fest thingy, and if not, do you think there would be interest in one? We recently had the lovely hpdesmutathon, devoted to Death Eater fiction, and I think it would be kind of nifty to have a fest about exploring the Slytherins in ( Read more... )

No, s'okay. This is why I asked :P

And yeah, I know there's an overabundance of fests out there and that adding another one would be in some ways completely unnecessary, but I like the format of a fest/exchange type thing for opening ground to focus on various facets of fandom in particular as opposed to great broad things where anything goes. Hence the feelers as to whether or not anyone would be interested in the slightest to another thing on the pile.

Hey, randomly and not related, do I need any knowledge of Bleach to understand your latest WIP? Because I would like to read it, but I know absolutely nothing about the anime.

Well.. one thing that I don't think fandom can ever have enough of are minimal-pressure prompt-based fests -- a la hp_darkfest, for example. Or even like slashfest, which isn't even anonymous.

As for the WiP, no knowledge of Bleach necessary at all! It's essentially a HP fic set in the Bleach world, and we plan to explain enough about the world for anyone to be able to follow. We both love H/D and we both love being super-geeky about the Bleach universe, so combining the two was a no-brainer. :D

Actually that is something that I was thinking about, doing the prompt based thing, I mean. I really enjoyed hp_darkfest, and that would be fun-times. You have given me something to ponder.

There's a ravenclaw-centric archive, and probably even a hufflepuff-centric one-- I'm not that sure about a fest, per se, but I would love an archive for it, haha.
