I guess I'm at it again... The story goes like this... I have a goal of chopping down the content on my music page to my favourite 10 songs that are recorded with the best quality possible. The rest of the songs I plan on removing from the net.
To that end I wanted to rerecord a few of the oldies and keep all of the newer ones. Yesterday I sat down and rehearsed "Where Have I Gone?" for a while and set up my mic and DAT. With my DAT recorder on pause literally ready to go I suddenly had the urge to start playing a mellow chord progression, so I did. Instantly lyrics came to my head... but that was just a simple verse, it could be discarded. Instead I came up with a really cool chord progression that had chorus written all over it. That was it, I was gone. I had to work on it... it was sounding too damn cool.
So several lyrics & a bridge later
My Show was born. After a quick transfer to the computer and conversion to Mp3 I was done.
You guys must be so sick of my constant ramblings about my songs, but truthfully I'm listening to this song right now and I feel it might be my best. It certainly feels, to me, more like real store-bought music than my other stuff. It is so groovy, I'm never this groovy. So even if you don't think much of my music you might want to give it a little peek (at least listen to the bit from the bridge to the end). I hate doing this... I feel like I'm forcing people to listen to my stuff, but I trust you guys, I like you and value your opinions, so try not to hold it against me.
My Show
It's a long road, that took me here
It's a dark path, that lead to the clear
It's a hard life, governed by fear
and it's a tragic world, that we hold dear
CHORUS (*) :
And you don't know, what goes into my show
'cause you can't feel, what is truly real
It's slower now, than when I began
I feel like, I need a hand
As the cold wind, comes cross the land
Life is escaping, like the sand
*
And I don't know
And I can not show
I just won't let it go
No no no no
*
