I'm not a closet homosexual!!!

Backstory:

I was applying for a security clearance and came across the question "Are you a closet homosexual?"

I was shocked, appalled, and generally confused, as there is no way to answer the question.
If you say no, you obviously are because you're in the closet.
If you say yes, you aren't in the closet now are you?

Being the shy and retiring wallflower that I am, I immediately, but politely asked WTF?

It was explained to me by the RCMP officer that was supervising me filling out the application that they were wondering if I could be blackmailed. This of course made it much easier to fill out the rest of the questions that they were asking me.

Present Day:

There have been some changes in my life lately that I am very happy about.
I have continued to improve and develop Physically, emotionally/mentally, and spiritually.
I have discovered things about myself that, to be perfectly honest, surprise me.
This is a public forum, so I'll not go into details.
I am open to ideas and situations that even as little as a year ago, would have come somewhere between squicking me out and trying to send me into a blind rage.

I have decided that although having some friends and family discover "what I am into now" would cause them discomfort, I cannot be blackmailed.

This makes me happy!
