Across the far-off Pains of Lombardy, a great sounding came from war-horns carved from the tusks of giant-mothers, and the earth rumbled at the opening of the 50-foot tall God’s Gates of Castello Sfvorzesco, spilling forth Holy Flamebearers across the northlands. For days, all across the Blessed Empire, strode the Holy Flamebearers to bring news of the Grand Convocation of Gladiators, and to lead only the mightiest and most noble of warriors back to the Apex Collosseo of Emperor Cunnigulus-for he would crown the champion King of All Warriors. But in the Dark Mistwoods of Gaul, the green-skinned Saltdrinkers of the Ostrogoth Emperor, Yegor the Bastard, had a different idea. Knowing that their king could defeat any who stood before him, they sought to keep the Flamebearer’s news from reaching the only man who could threaten King Yegor-Sarbox The Destroyer! Laying a cunning trap, Atio the Fell and his vile Saltdrinkers and calamitous Greenskins ambushed the Flamebearer as he sprinted Via Montanapoleone, and snatched the Holy Flame of Eternity from his hand. Before they could stamp it out, however, they were beset by Sarbox the Destroyer, who deafened them with mighty warcries from atop his might ioc, and lay their souls to waste. But too late for the Holy Flamebearer of Emperor Cunnigulus, whose throat was slit ear-to-ear before Sarbox could learn the location of this Convocation of Gladiators and claim his rightful place as King of All Warriors.
