Make Way For Moviedomes
Went down to the moviedome last Saturday
with forty bucks and a smuggled Gatorade
saw a monster movie over and over
just needed a safe place to be afraid.
Found myself in the aisle of a grocery store
with no idea what I came in for
looked at the killing sheen of the high-hung flourescein
like Jonah standing on the belly floor.
Woke up surrounded by my loved ones
but I couldn't recognize their faces
I will get some answers when I remember the questions
hidden in my body's darkest places.
We're going to spend all our vast fortunes
