Just a quick post about the music assaulting my ears at the mo.
1 - Keef baker - Pen Fifteen. After talking to Keef after the mortaled show i was looking forward to hearing his new stuff as he said he'd taken a bit of Jesu direction and going by the first two stunning tracks i'd say it's not bad direction to take. Getting Older is flawless and Dead End with its digital bass breakdown bits make for an amazing open to what is a great album. Every track is great i really love the post apocalyptic jazz club grindcore trombone showdown on the last track. Very diverse mr baker.
2 - Lilly Allen - It's not me it you. I really like Lilly shes funny and this album is pretty good. I'll have to keep listening to see if the gleem leaves after a while. The first album is still on my mp3 player so we'll see.
3 - Naplam Death - Time waits for no slave. Shit this album rages. I really like this, a bit intense after a while but otherwise shit hot.
4 - Elbow - The seldom seen kid. For some reason i didn't listen to this last year, i only started to listen to it at the start of the year but as far as an indie album goes this is amazing. Its quite an uplifting album really the track A Day Like This is beathtaking.
5 - Endzeit Bunker Tracks iv. As noted in Adams post most of the first disc is just too samey samey. I'm hoping disc 2-4 get better.
Went to see Alkaline Trio at the new O2 academy (the t&c for those of us who remember) not a bad show i enjoyed them very much, got a bit pissed off at the guy infront of me kept putting his hands up filming the show. Also the six girls who spent the whole show texting each other and laughing. Fucking girlsfriends of fans bloody hate them.
