Happy Birthday June (Prelude)
I was waiting for Candice to arrive at Raffles City Shopping Centre when I got hungry. So I had dinner first as the girl is on (yet) another diet. I headed for The Soup Spoon and had a serving of very fine Boston Clam Chowder and a glass of Iced Lemon Tea to wash it down. Slurp!
Candice and I went to shop around a little bit (bought myself some lip balm from Origins after finding out Kiehl's doesn't sell the #1 lipbalm on it's own now. It's paired with a red-coloured version and going for $30 a pair which doesn't make much consumer sense since it was going at $15 a tube before. Huh? Like, what gives?) before heading down to Cafe Domus to meet June.
Cafe Domus is situated at 124, Owen Road and is owned by architects who dream of owning a gallery. As the facade was rather nondescript, Candice and I had to call June to ask for directions as we walked down the lane. June, by coincidence, was in a car behind us and we could hear her over the phone instructing the driver to knock me and Candice down. Evil! Anyway, it was a great gathering of ex-classmates. We took a hell lot of pictures of which will be posted up soon. :) This is just a warm up!
