Although Casper is not religious, he is open to learning more about most faiths
The venerable Dead Sea Scrolls were on display at the Arts House
and Casper's aunt and younger sis were heading there so Casper tagged along
There were volunteer guides at each of the three main viewing rooms
And they did a good job managing the crowds and did their best to explain what they could about the artifacts on display
These scrolls were hand-written on parchment made of lambskin
One of the few fragments of the heralded Dead Sea Scrolls
The largest on display was the size of Casper's thumb
Pottery and a coin circa centuries ago
There were many bibles on display, many of which were original first issues
Including the Guttenberg bible, the first book ever printed of which only 17 copies are known to still exist
Those books are worth serious money!
After such a cranium enriching experience, everyone got hungry
Dinner was in Balestier at Founders bak kut teh where they were joined by K
It was his aunt's and younger sister's first visit
Casper was glad they loved it as much as he did
Dessert was gui ling gao a short stroll down from the bak kut teh place
