Today, Casper's household observed Earth Hour
He had his dinner lit by candle light
Earth Hour 2009 occurred between 8.30pm and 9.30pm
One hour with the lights turned off had no real energy savings
It did, however, remind everyone to be dedicated in conserving energy
His mom, aunts, uncles and grandmother reminisced
about the times when they lived in a kampung
when they relied on kerosene lamps after dark
Aren't we all a fortunate bunch?
