Can you dig it ? Um, No, not really.

For those of you that know the film 'The Warriors' :

"A modern-day remake of the film featuring new gangs is set to be directed by Tony Scott and has been announced with a tentative release date of 2006. This remake will include mostly real gang members and try to create a version of the movie that is set in LA and take out any of the campy feeling of the original, which is actually what most fans enjoyed about the film to this day. The remake will not share much with the original except for the title and the character Cyrus. Whether fans embrace this version like they have embraced the first one will be interesting to see"

And the point of this is what ?
A load of idiot gang members (real ones ?!) beating each other to death and spraying automatic-weapon fire is, believe it or not, not that interesting to watch.
A weird, bizarrely campy, slightly post-apocalyptic, comic-style 70's freak out with a sense of humour is.

You see the difference Tony ?

PS: The Warriors computer game that came out a couple of months back is, on the other hand, more fun than is decent and has left me giggling like a hyena for a large part of the Christmas hols. This is what happens when geek game-designers are allowed to make a game for nobody except themselves.
