Back home
I got back Tuesday morning. Today I washed my car at one of those coin-op DIY carwash places. It worked pretty well, I think. It cost about $11, which I'm sure could be lowered with practice and maybe a partner helping out. :-) Then I came home, washed the windows, took the mats inside to vacuum, etc. (I used the vacuum at the carwash place to vacuum the actual car, but it just seemed expensive to vacuum the mats there too...) I'm really, really glad I wore "work clothes". Wow. That foam stuff got all over everywhere.
My friend Jon from grad school called me up a few days ago. He's in Houston and asked if I'd like to visit there, or he could visit here. So he's coming here on Friday. I'm not sure how long he's staying. Hey, it's summer, I figure he can stay as long as he wants. Perhaps after he's been here for a little while I might go back with him to Houston for a few days. Why not? :-)
