Well, after the initial debacle of making tea with boiled alcohol, the practical side of this champagne in the taps lark is showing itself. I wonder how long it will last. Let's face it, it would cost more to buy a crate full of champagne than a crate full of mineral water, so for the non-teetotal amongst us it's quite nice.
Having said that, does anyone know if the water in the laundry room is also affected? I did a massive wash the day before this happened so I think I'm alright for now, but if it goes on for a while...alcohol soaked undies, anyone? Doesn't sound nice to me.
