Life update

Tonight my darling felis came home and reminded me we had to do our taxes.  So the evening was spent hunting down tax related pieces of paper in all kinds of strange places.  Very fun.  But now it's done and it looks like we can expect some money back from the state in august. Yay for money!

In other news I sang at those concerts with the choir yesterday and on Monday and it went pretty well I think.  Of course I was the very coolest person in the whole choir, since I was one of the few who could sing the whole mass without notes, all 40 minutes worth.  But then again I am of course always the very coolest person in any crowd of people, and you all know this and agree, yes?  Yes?? Good.  What do you mean by "arrogant"?

Well, I am honestly pretty proud of that because I only had like two months to learn it, where as the rest of the choir have been rehearsing it for months on end.  And I actually don't know how to read any notes, only the tempo (old drumming skills come in handy).

Last three weeks have been a little packed, no time for anything except work and choir practice, but now we get ten days off for Easter!!!  Yay!!!  Best things about being a teacher?  Christmas, Easter and summer vacations.  No question.

Of course I am stupid enough to have left all the papers I have to grade before the end of Easter break until now...so I have to grade 20 papers in the next two weeks, boring stuff.

And finally this years Eurovision songs and videos are all up on //eurovision.tv/addons/mediaplayer if anyone wants to warm up for the main event of the year!  I have somewhat courageously chosen Bulgaria to root for in this years annual Eurovision party.  I like the song, but am worried it won't make it out of the semi-finals.  So if anyone has good Ideas about Bulgarian food or alcoholic drinks I could brew for the party competition please send them my way.  I am defending champion, so I will have to come up with something good to keep stuffing my cupboard with prizes.  So far I have thought of a big fat nothing.  Well, one idea, but it involves either mailing water from Bulgaria or finding someone who's going there who can bring me back stuff.  Both of those seem unlikely to work.

Ok.  this post was boring as ever.  Man, soon everyone on my little flist must realize how boring I am and kick me off.

taxes, bulgaria, easter, choir, esc
