Uggh, Juno. So overrated.
At first blush, Juno seems like a pretty great movie. It's entertaining and lots of fun to watch. There's a great cast, and each of the film's characters are well-sketched and interesting. I disagree with pretty much everything you said. It wasn't supposed to be a social commentary. It was a story about how a teenage girl deals with getting pregnant, and it was great. At least, that's what I took it for.

& i don't know. i guess it wasn't supposed to be a social commentator, but still, the way it portrayed teenage pregnancy really bothered me. juno basically just skated through it unharmed, and that's not really realistic at all.
but again, it didn't bother most people. i'm probably (definitely) being picky.

but, at the end of the day, it was more frustrating than funny to me. and no, i'm not looking for holes. i actually wanted to like it, given its overwhelmingly positive recently. but then, i genuinely felt this way as i stepped out of the theater. oh well.
also, your final sentence here is fantastic.
