Life is an illusion. We all do it, some for hopes of portraying more than exists, others to cover aspects of themselves that would rather keep hidden within their deepest depths. Regardless, every being on this planet does portray an illusion for fear of allowing their true self to be exposed, for it is in that brief instant when the truest of self is revealed that we become vulnerable to love, to hurt, to pain, and most of all, to self evaluation. I have found that in many instances, we cover ourselves in these shrouds of deception because we lack the ability to actually accept ourselves and embrace whom we are as individuals. It honestly is a travesty that i am guilty of obviously, but that it is allowed to be perpetuated.
They say that time heals all wounds, but time also does tell, and it is this paradox of sorts that allows the true character of an individual to be exposed and forces that person to have to reason with themselves or they shall forever lose their sense of self. The complexities and intricacies that dominate us as people really are what drive each of our inner motivations and what influence what decisions we do and do not make. While it does seem rather trivial to some, to others, such as myself, it really can be a rather life effecting paradigm.
That is all.
