Man double shifts have to be a form of God's wrath on the working peoples.
The most annoying parts of working at Q's include:

1. Not being able to hear customers who place orders
2. Dealing with customers who get pissed at us for not knowing what they want to eat ( Read more... )

yo, i hear that. while working at wawa, in the deli, i had the same EXACT problems. food service is awful, cause everyone wants their food their own special way, and they'll complain just to try and get it free. i actually got comments like, "move the lettuce slightly to the right" and "more mayo, TONS of mayo... NO NOT THAT MUCH MAYO TAKE HALF A DAB OFF." i don't know, i think people who don't have very good lives feel free to dump all over food service workers for some reason.

oh yeah, also i worked the graveyard shift, meaning tons of porno freaks, hookers, pimps, you name it, would come into the store and make uncomfortable comments to myself and the other female employees. my bosses were foreign like yours, and i couldn't understand a thing they said most of the time either. nothing against foreign people in general, but it's kind of humiliating to be reprimanded in words you can't even comprehend. that's actually how i quit working... my boss called and said i needed to come in, and i said "no, i'm sick" but he kept talking and giving me instructions, then he started yelling, but i couldn't understand what he was saying AT ALL so i just said, "yeah, okay.. mm-hmm.. yeah, sounds great" and then never went back to work.

plus the "shift leaders" were totally corrupt. this one dude would brag to us about how he cheated on his wife. his girlfriend would ALWAYS call at 3am and he would sit in the back room for like an hour talking to her. actually one time he did that, someone stole a bunch of cigarettes, but he tried to play it off like the cigarettes WEREN'T actually missing so he wouldn't get in trouble, even though a customer witnessed it. i totally hated that guy and developed a policy of never speaking to him or noticing his presence, even when he was commanding me to do things. also, he would discourage us from reporting accidents in the deli so that he wouldn't be held responsible by the bosses [i STILL have a huge burn scar on my arm from an incident with a bagel tray, which no one heard about]. there are like a million stories i could tell, but i'm just babbling here... in short, SOLIDARITY WITH QUITTING YOUR JOB!!!

Yeah, i can relate to a lot of your experience. I always get burned by the trays our subs go through in our MMM MMM FRESH 'N' TOASTY oven. I also get severe eye burn & tears when cutting onions.

Thats pretty schife about your boss... man i accept the responsibility when i screw up (usually multiple times a day). I wear my mistakes with pride.
