Christmas in HR
The Christmas period is not a time of year to me celebrated in an HR department.
The anniversary of Christ's birth never *particularly* well received by the practitioners of the dark arts (TM)and the enforced cheer and jollity never sits well with the atmosphere of dread we try to perpetuate. In addition to this though, it is the time of year for the salary review. A thing of horror and irritation for all concerned as spreadsheets need to be collated and budgets divvied.
The worst thing as to be seeing the salary increases some of these talent-free, over paid, winging SOB's get that close to dwarfs my annual salary. Grrrrrr. Just proving that there is no justice, so I obviously need to reclaim my lack of financial remuneration in flayed hide throughout 2006.
