People annoy me too damn often.

Oh yes they do.

Some arsehole decided to destroy Shao's group. They took down all the boards and all the messages, deleted the front page then kicked out all the members.

The group is only 6 weeks old and was making good progress and Shao had put a lot of work into it trying to make it not only successful, but enjoyable.

So, I've rebuilt the front page, put most of the boards back up and made the linkages work again but it's still just a shell of its former self. I also emailed as many members as I could to let them know what had happened. That's one advantage of having all messages sent to my inbox.

Still don't know yet what's going on with the hosting at GoDaddy.com. I picked it because of price, flexibility of terms and value for money. (In case anyone was wondering.) I also have to recommend their customer service department, it was awesome and so fast.

No idea yet what appearance the site will eventually have, but I'm sure I'll be able to make it zing like the train tracks when the train's coming.

And just think, 6 years ago, if anyone told me I'd be doing this, I'd have told them they're out of their minds. I know I'm out of mine, but that's beside the point.

I have to spend the rest of the week in the office this week and I'm off to the office expo at the Exhibition Centre (Jeff's Shed as it's affectionately known in Melbourne) to shake hands with international guest speakers and swap ideas with them about management and marketing practices. I'm sure I'm going to fall asleep or die with the boredom of it, but it's not the office and I'm not the one paying for my admission and attendance at the lectures and seminars - so maybe I'll be able to let the air out of a few stuffed shirts and spurn some vainglorious loudmouths more concerned with turning a buck and turning a head than turning in a good day's worth of actual productivity.

Or, with a bit of luck, I might actually find it worthwhile.

Talk about lousy timing though.
