i'm in Michigan. the past few days i've been at my aunt and uncle's. one day we went to the fair and saw some animals and i went on a ride and we saw crafts and stuff like that. the day before we went to some picnic on a dairy farm for my dad's fraternity which was a bunch of farm people, coincidently the fraternity was called farmhouse. i've spent most of the time at the aunt's by watching west wing episodes and gotten through about 16 episodes and on to the shorter disks. otherwise it's been super hot even up here in michigan, like yesterday it was 98 degrees when we left the fair. so today was kinda fun, we went to our hotel in traverse city and checked in and dropped some stuff off so we decided to go on a nearby citys, gta-like joyride to places of intrest, so we drove like 30 miles west and went to some beach where i collected like 15-20 rocks from the beach(which wasn't too cold). we then traveled on to the "Sleeping Bear Nation Lakeshore" nation park and took the scenic drive for $10 and it was mostly boring till we got to the sheer cliff drop off sand dune. all the guys were doing it so i decided i had to. so you walk up to it and then it looks kinda like a taco or valley for about 30 feet with a nice 20 degree downhill slope. but then you kinda notice lake michigan and how boats down at the ground level are like super itty bitty small. so you walk closer to the taco valley and then look down and then it's a 450 foot like 45 degree or more slope all the way down to a tiny beach and lake. so pretty much you just run down or jump down in like 1 minute and like 30 seconds into i actualy realize how tall this thing is and decide i went halfway so why not go the rest, i'll only be this young once. so i get down the the bottom and put my feet in the water and pick up 2 fancy rocks to prove i got down there. and then i wait like a minute to make sure my parents take a picture of me down there. and then i begin the hike up. well the sign said it was "extreemly exhausting" but i wouldn't say "extreemly" just above averagly, like running a mile. but this dune of course was all sand so when you'd climb up it was like taking two steps forward and sliding back a whole step or something so it took about 20 minutes for me to get up cause i sat down and took a break/took in the sights. then we walked on to see the actual sleeping bear which was just another sand dune. after that we drove on and out of the park and on the road again. we passed through a tiny town called glen harbot, not to be confused with glen arbor which was right next to the town. in town we saw a nice resturaunt called the boone docks and we decided to eat there. i had a burger and the place directly nextdoor had a band playing so this resturaunt had outdoor seating to steal the entertainment from them. after that we went to a town called leland (lee-land) which my dad remembered to be really nice looking from when he was a kid but it turned out it wasn't. so we made out way back to traverse city with my great celestial navigational skills and cartography skills. by the way, it doesn't get dark around here till like 9:35 at night, it's interesting. so on our way back we go though another tiny town called Lake Leelanau (Lee-la-naw) and then drove along west bay, which coincidently has a east bay directly to the east of west bay. so now i'm back and using the wireless internet from the lobby that my 3rd floor room gets. also the room is really hot but my parents think it's really cold so we keep fighting over the airconditioner cause i keep putting it down to 65 and then they move it back up to like 75, so there's gonna be a tornado or something in the room w/ all the different air currents. i'll be watching west wing and swealtering a lot. the news report recomends that i stay indoor, cause the air outside is gonna be like 104 soon and that's really hot so i'll die. and that hot air outside will make my cells divide at an alarming rate, till my shell simply cannot hold all my insides in, and that's when we'll explode. do-do do-do. (song). goodbye
