A message from Tim Kring

eriksavatar  received a message from Tim Kring and she asks Heroes fans to post it on Heroes communities. Here's the message:

"Thanks again to all of the loyal “Heroes” fans who are awaiting news about what NBC plans to do regarding closure for the series. Like all of you, I was shocked and disappointed that NBC did not choose to pick up a 5th season of the show. I would love nothing more than to be producing more great episodes for you all to enjoy. But fortunately, there is very strong interest on my part and NBC’s part to figure out a way to bring some form of closure to the storyline. The cast and crew are also willing to rally. Believe me, I would love to have news to report at this time, but alas I don’t. NBC’s ultimate decision is based on all kinds of factors (budget issues, scheduling, distribution) that I don’t have control over. So, I am waiting patiently for them to sort out these internal issues for now.

In the meantime, some of the fans have commented about a new project of mine that has been close to my heart for quite some time. It just launched and is called the Conspiracy for Good. I thought it would be helpful to share a piece of important background information about this project with you. First, I want to make it very clear that my work on my other creative projects in no way diminishes my sincere interest in continuing the “Heroes” storyline with NBC. I have long had a strong interest in philanthropic issues and the Conspiracy For Good has been my way of combining this interest with my passion for storytelling.

In truth, “Heroes” itself was an attempt to put a positive message into the world - One of hope, interconnectivity and global consciousness. It was this underlying message that connected so strongly with the audience. From this connection sprung ideas like Sylar’s Army, which raised money for Give Life Foundation, and Heroes For Autism and Heroes For Haiti. So, in many ways, it is directly because of all of the “Heroes” fans around the world that I was inspired to bring the Conspiracy for Good to life. Watching how the fan base formed, rallied and have woven powerful bonds within the group, showed me that blending entertainment with fan activity toward a greater good could be a reality. With this powerful fan base that demonstrates such enthusiasm and interest, why not mobilize some of this energy to do more than just talk or chat about a TV show? So to every Heroes fan, I invite you to see for yourself what you had a hand in inspiring me to do with the Conspiracy for Good. You can find it at conspiracyforgood.com.

When there is news about “Heroes”, I promise it will be shared as soon as possible. Your continued loyalty, vocal support and wish to see more of “Heroes” is genuinely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Tim Kring"
