It was time to finish this. After more than six years of hell from the place we were finally going to stand up and say we weren't taking anymore. To them, we were just pieces on a chess board strategically placed for their end game. Now we were about to fuck up their game and show them exactly what it meant to have a free will that didn't

But no more. I couldn't let myself think about that. I couldn't remember how it felt when it coursed through my own veins. Angel did it to help us. I got that. 'Cause now? We definitely leveled the playing field a little more. And my power was still there, I'd definitely not forgotten all the things I had learned. How to harness my power, how to use it when I needed it. All that was still there with me.
And now it was time to use it. She rushed towards him with a stake ready and I grabbed my sword from the floor, rushing towards her. Just as Angel backhanded her, sending her staggering a little off balance, I pulled my sword back, shoving it hard through her back, forcing it out the other side. Oh yeah, I've still got some power too. "You don't own me." I said, pulling it out and shoving it through again. "Not anymore."

When I got to my feet again, my eyes immediately went to the stake in her hand. We rushed at each other and I managed to dodge her coming at me with the stake until Kennedy came up from behind and I saw the sword coming out the front of her stomach. That had to sting. I'd lost my own sword in the fight and with the few seconds Dom was caught in Kennedy's sword, I lashed out hard punches to her face over and over.
"After tonight, you'll never own any of us ever again," I said and hit her once more hard enough that she stumbled backwards into the wall. I spotted my sword a few feet away and as Kennedy started in on Dom again I quickly moved for it again only to see her coming towards me.
Standing ready, I swung the sword at her but missed when she dodged it and had pushed me back up against the opposite wall.

Then he was there, trying to play with his sword. I dug my nails deep into Kennedy's neck, letting the smell of slayer blood feel the air. That's right, Angel, smell it, let your demon roar. Dropping her, I kicked her in the face before striding over to Angel and slamming him into the wall. Grabbing the sword from him, I swung it hard and sliced across his chest.
"You think the two of you and your little army can take us out? You..." I paused as I heard the screaming outside. The sound of my brother's name from someone's lips. "Looks like you lost a slayer. How many have you lost, Kennedy? Angel? How many of these little girls will die because you two can't figure it out. We own all of you."
I smirked at both of them as I gripped the sword and dared either of them to rush me. "That was Lily. Did she matter to either of you? She mattered to my brother, and he knew to toss her aside. Just as I will toss the both of you aside. Never bite the hand that feeds, children. It won't end well for you."

I narrowed my eyes as she held me up in the air, glaring down at her. I wasn't gonna give her the satisfaction of clawing at her hand to let me go. Even as my sword fell from my hand with a loud clatter and I started feeling light headed. Her nails sunk into my skin and I clenched my jaw in pain. I could feel the blood running down my neck in trickles from where her fingernails were embedded deep in my flesh. Then just like that, she dropped me. I hit the ground hard and caught a kick in the face that sent me flying a few feet away.
Laying there for a minute, I shook it off before getting back to my feet. I could hear the screams and noises of battle outside the office and I wondered how the others were doing. I stood still, prepared to make a move as she talked, the sword now in her hand. I moved slowly, circling around as Angel did the same. I met his eyes for a brief minute, trying to get a read on what he planned to do. What our next move was. I couldn't read his look though, so while she was distracted with him, I moved on her, knocking the sword from her hand. Not that she needed it, but hey, the less armed she was, the better.
Taking a punch to the face, I staggered back a little before moving on her again with a punch of my own. As quick as I hit her, she sent me back to the ground, I landed hard, my head bouncing off the floor and she was on top of me before I could react. She managed to get a few hits of her own in, before her hands were back around my throat again. I just smirked up at her before I spat blood in her face. You know, just for old time's sake. And because I knew how much she hated it. Let's just hope Angel made a move before she killed me now.

Well. This was unexpected.
I smiled at Kennedy as I wiped the spit from my face and then lashed out a vicious backhand to her face. Something to remember me by. "Tell precious Gracie all of my things in this dimension are hers to use as she pleases."
Then I turned my attention to Angel. Moving toward him, I looked him straight in the eyes and said softly, "The prophecy is real, and you all guessed wrong. Lexi was never the dark one. She is destined to kill you son, and she will because so it has been written, so it shall be."
I blew him a kiss and walked straight to the portal. We would be weak again, but we would be return once more. Bigger. Stronger. Better than we previously were. You could not keep us down. As long as we were together, nothing could stop us, and then I gave him another look and said, "You won't be able to hold on tight enough to him, Angelus. You can never hold on tight enough."
As I stepped through the portal, I smirked, and let the light envelope me. They would be lucky to escape the office before the building crushed them.

Kennedy and I both circled her and then Kennedy launched herself at Dom, both of them falling to the floor and punches thrown from either direction. She spit in Dom's face and I was about to pull the bitch off of her but suddenly the building started to shake violently and the portal appeared.
She spouted off something to Kennedy and once she was back up on her feet, she looked at me again. Her expression almost a calm acceptance.
The next words out of her mouth hit me hard and caught me off guard. The portal was getting larger and I just stared at her, glaring through yellow eyes now. I wanted to smack her hard back into hell but before I had the chance she blew me a kiss was walking into hell herself.
He wasn't the dark one and fuck whatever she said right now to get her last chance to fuck with my head. She was done for and she knew it. Whatever she said didn't matter.
Once the portal closed, I shook my head to get the newly raised questions out and steadied myself when the building shook again. The place was going to crumble from the inside out and we needed to get the hell out of here.
"Come on," I yelled to Kennedy as we both ran out of the office. We headed for the stairs but they had already collapsed. Fuck. "The back way, through there," I said and we ran towards the stairs at the back of the building.

She was talking to Angel, but I couldn't hear what she was saying over the sounds of the building starting to come apart. It was rumbling and shaking and I knew it was only a matter of minutes before it totally collapsed. We needed to get the hell out of there. I rolled my eyes when she blew Angel a kiss and smirked at me before disappearing and the portal closing.
I ran after Angel, trying to get the hell out before the whole thing came down on us. The stairs were already gone though, and Angel knew of another way out, so we ran, taking the stairs two at a time as they collapsed behind us. We barely got to the bottom. Running down the corridor, barely dodging pieces of the ceiling as they collapsed behind us, we pushed open the door and ran like hell to get out of the path of the falling debris. Once we were far enough away, we both turned back to look at the remnants of what remained of Wolfram & Hart. We'd managed to send Dom back to hell, I hope the others had managed to do the same. We stood there in silence for a couple of minutes, staring at the aftermath of a war. And just like with war, our victory would be bittersweet. We might've won in a sense, but what all did we lose in the process?
