Okay, it is fun going through with a scanner and adding things to your wedding registry.

We spent Saturday's at Macy's in Herald Sq. in NYC pointing a handheld gadget at bar coded items. Now, given that we're both in our forties we have one of a lot of things. If not two, or five. We have almost an entire china set (from citabria's Mom), too ( Read more... )

How did you manage to get an invisible wedding registry? It must be invisible, because I DON'T FRIGGIN' SEE IT ANYWHERE.

Hurm. It's there...under both of our names. (Organized weirdly but still.)

My dear Teem, I was expecting a link to the registry on this LJ. You want bling? Make it easy on me.

My dear, we haven't actually met yet so I'm a little wary of providing instant gratification to someone I've only met over the net--despite excellent references from citabria, granted.

I considered the Tyrol, but.... First, I'd only consider them for reds -- the heat of holding the glass by hand would warm up a white too quickly. Second ... I'll admit it -- part of what I love about stemware is the grace and beauty of the stems. Plus, aren't the Tyrol very limited in terms of shape?

Despite saying this, I think the beautifully colored Lenox glasses that Teem fell in love with are, in fact, red and white wine glasses. I figure I'll see how I like those (hopefully) and possibly adjust my future Reidel decisions from there.

Thanks! Those are niftier than I expected. Last night I couldn't find them on the web site -- I'd just clicked on "collections" and nothing happened. Stoopid web design.

I'd also been worried that they stopped making the Extreme collection. Those chardonnay glasses are *perfect* for the Aussie and New Zealand chardonnays that I love! The cabernet glasses are great for my favorite Italian reds, too. (And my Piping Shrike shiraz, though I know that's meant to go in a different glass.)
