Today is March something or other. Last week I bought a Nintendo DS and I'm having a hard time not buying more and more games. So far I have Legend of Zelda (awesome), Legend of Zelda II (I'm still a bit WTF mate? on this one), Pokemon: FireRed version(gonna catch'em all!), Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap (detecting a pattern, Watson? My favorite so far.), and Warioware: Touched (now I can really party by myself...and the ladies....). On my list of games I want to buy: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (*gasp* surprised? If you are, you're pretty fricking retarded.), Sprung (if only for an odd curiosity- the game appears to be a gameboy version of Leisure Suit Larry), Excitebike (it's all about the classics), The Adventures of Mario and Luigi (not exact title, but it's a RPG type game), Castlevania (I want to suck your body and your wallet dry). For my Gamecube, I bought Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Legend of Zelda: Windwaker ("Obsessed?" you say, "bite me" I reply). I want to reserve the next Legend of Zelda which comes out on June 1st ("It rubs the lotion on its skin"). I also want to buy Resident Evil 4 (RE4 will be ported over to the PS2, but expectations aren't high for graphics quality), DefJam Vendetta: Fight for NY (Don't hate the playa, only the gaming system), Legend of Symphonia (Music connection not found/forgotten), and Skies of Arcadia (Nyarrgh! I be a pirate in a flying ship in this one, mateys!).
"But Jared," you query, "how will you stop? Your inner geek has been released in a manner not seen since Junior Year band camp! How can you control the power of your nerdage?!"
To this I shall reply:
Expenses! No, I haven't been running up my cell bill (as a side note, Xiang says "hi"), mostly because people don't call me back (Atalia), but still, not the phone bill. Instead I've been doing the unthinkable and going to see doctors about what ails me. Hence, I only spent the amount of money that I would've spent on a girlfriend (if I had one) from Jan 1st-Mar 1st, which is roughly 300 dollars.
"Really?" you say. "Is that how you figured out how much you could spend?"
"No," says I, "but that's how I'm justifying the expenses as I type this."
Anyhoo, doctors are expensive and I also need to be thinking about buying a desktop for the house. This laptop that is my brother's has way too much stuff on it (viruses, programs, Napster, five AOL start-up things, etc.) plus it's about time we had one anyway. I can buy a refurb with monitor and possibly printer for $550 that'll suit my needs and still be usuable my mom and brother. I was going to buy a brand-spanking new one with monitor for around $830, but I'd be the only one to utilize that much computer spiffiness. The cheaper refurb/open box also allows me to save money toward my home-built computer which should begin construction as soon as I get together with cass for the basics (I'm thinking completion by end of summer). That sounds a bit selfish (at least to me), but I want to have a private computer that's decently up-to-date so I don't have to worry about the family messing with files I don't wish them to see or alter (finanical statements, personal email, firefox, deadaim, and so on). The personal comp will also mean I can fix the comp on my own without someone whining about deleting a turbotax from 2001 that was never used (brother = douche and a half).
On the work front:
I was walking the street and just reminding the girls what kind of life they used to lead before they joined my "entrepenuership" when this white boy rolls up looking for a good time with Rasb..oops...wrong work front...
Sears is doing all right. It's work, and it's a fun bunch of people, but the store manager keeps trying to micromanage the stockroom, which doesn't do anything except to impede our work. A few people quit, and another guy was just fired, so I'm working six days a week instead of five (interesting side note- federal states that if a person works for more than seven day straight, that person gets time and half for every hour on or after the seventh day, even if the total number of hours worked is less than forty) to cover some shifts. I'm thinking about talking to my manager to see about working more toward the afternoon evening on most days rather than the mornings. I dunno know. We'll see.
That's about all for now. If anything life-alterning or interesting happens, I'll let you know. Or, you know, you could just talk to me (ATALIA). I'm sorry, was that in CAPS? My bad.
This is Walter Klondike saying "What would you do for my bar?"
