I believe I shalt start yonder entry with an update on my digital camera and mp3 player. The
player is on its merry way and is supposed to be here monday. The
camera I ordered from best buy on the 13th (of december) under the knowledge that I probably would have to wait between 1-2 weeks before the camera shipped because of backordering. However, I guess I ordered the camera right before the warehouse got in a new shipment as I received an email the next day saying my order was shipped. Apparently the camera is now sold out as well, so good deal for me.
Two other things. I forgot to mention in the pre-androgynous update that I snagged tickets to a lou rawls concert on the 9th, but the show was cancelled. Lou called in sick, but the ticket lady mentioned that he was going in for heart surgery. I hope he's all right. As part of a tangent, when you people out there have a show cancelled, don't yell at the ticket person. That kind of thing seriously grinds my gears. (I'd post a link to his site, but the thing hardly does him justice, so check out amazon for some quickie samples.) This past thursday I went to see
blast! at the kravis center. I can't type enough to desribe just how awesome the show is live, so you'll have to take my word for it and ask me about it later.
Friday night I finally checked out Downtown at the Gardens with Brian and Matt. The place ain't so bad- A big open parkish thing sans arbors and a fifties-ish splendor design. Most of the places won't open until 2006, but the theater, whole foods market (a place that disgusts and intrigues me at the same time) and a cheesecake factory are already open. I'm hoping the traffic won't be clogged with yuppies/hipsters/douches once the place really gets rolling, but I'm not hoping too hard.
'Tis all for now.
