Well, it's one day shy of two weeks until this year's christmas, hence time for another update for the good folks of the internet.

Probably the biggest update is my new job- well, new job pending results of drug test and background check. In a couple of weeks I'll be working at the home depot. Seems like it's not so bad of a job; I'll be getting a $1.50 more an hour and getting medical and dental insurance to boot. In addition, since I'm pretty much guaranteed 40 hours a week and since it's a monday-friday job, I'll be able to keep the sears job for nights and weekends. As much as I complain about my current job, I really do like the people in the recieving/operations department, so I'm not going to completely bail on them. Of course, once I find an even better paying job I'll be telling sears "see ya" and moseying my way out the automatic sliding glass doors. Money's always been somewhat tight with me, especially as of late, but I'm hoping this will alleviate some of the problem. School wise I'm officially done with classes needed to get the associate's degree, but I still need to take the CLAST for math, which means reviewing algebra and my basic geometry. One of the guidance counselors said I didn't have to take the english, but my transcript says I do, so I need to double check before I sign up for a test date.

Recreationally I'm back into comic books. This time around I'm sticking with the independent titles because the storywriting is usually consistently better than most and the continuity is easy to keep track of without spending $200 a month. Aside from that I've been reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I started during the hurricane and I'm now on book 8 of the tweleve/thirteen part series (one short prequel written a couple of years ago and a not-yet release twelfth book, which is kind of funny because the reader's comments usually indicate that reading up to and through books five and six "will take you most of the year" (each book is almost 1,000 pages long) and here I am halfway through book eight about two months after starting it. I need to get out more. Speaking of which....

Two nights ago I went out with my friends anthony, ms. maureen, slim, leisy, and some of anthony's friends for an event called the santa rampage. The idea is that anthony and company dress up in santa outfits and go clubbing/bar hopping until the wee hours of the morning. This was the third year of the santa rampage (my first time coming along) and Anthony says that the first year he made up for the cost of the costume in free drinks given to him. Normally they do the rampage in Ft. Lauderdale, but this year Clematis rescheduled Moonfest for the night of the santa rampage, so anthony decided to go there instead of ft. lauderdale since some of our friends were hitting up Moonfest. Moonfest itself sucked and I now know why I didn't attend in previous years. I did run into a couple of people I know, so that was spiffy. The guys made the night awesome though, so though the venue bit the dust, the night was a blast. One of the favorite quotes of the night was "Hey, I like your douchebag costume. Oh wait, sorry, that's not a costume." Hahaha! Classic.

Not too much else going on. I'm buying an mp3 player and a digital camera. I figured it's about time I completely joined the modern era in technology. Perhaps I'll even post some photos.
