Superstition. Are you superstitious about anything? Is someone you know superstitious?

No one I know really picks up superstition as more than just a religiously done habit. Except Linus, who seems to live by it. You don't really think about it, you just do it. And in the back of your mind, you think that if you don't do it, things might go wrong.

When you're on a job with the potential to get you and your crew six figures each or more, you don't want to take any chances in changing the routine. Especially if there's a chance the people you're stealing from are going to have guns that you have to get around.

If being a little superstitious keeps you away from jail time or a bullet, I don't see the problem with it.

Basically it's all about routine. What time you get up, what you eat, and other basic morning things that stop being basic when you're about to pull off a job in a little while. If it's at night, then it's what you do before then. I'm not at the point of where I time it down to the second, but I know a few guys who do that too. They're the ones I don't work with, because if they mess up their routine, they walk off the job.

Being careful is alright; being paranoid on that level is not only going to drive you nuts, it'll take everyone else around you down too.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as it doesn't run you, superstition's fine.
