This post reminded me of an episode of JEOPARDY! a few years back. One assumes that the contestants who make it on air are intelligent. One assumes.
The final JEOPARDY! answer was: "Year the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor."
NO ONE got it right. In fact, one person said 1948. That's 3 years AFTER the war ended.
FDR said, "December 7th, 1941. A date which will live in infamy." Guess not.
