Just so you know (and this will probably reach some of my other friends as well): My computer does not do sound at all, so when I see the lower case F in a circle, I cannot hear what everybody else can see, and consequently I have no idea what this ad is, or is about.
It's an ad supporting the public insurance option as part of health care reform, featuring an Iowa farmer/veteran who always votes Republican, but is unhappy with the man he previously supported for Senator (Charles Grassley). The ad also points out that Grassley has taken over $2.9 million in campaign contributions from the health insurance industry...
Sorry. I had no idea it was a problem link. It looks normal to me. I'd never heard of the circled f thing. I think I get a small box with an x on it when my computer doesn't like a link. I thought that since I'm running Vista which is quite a nanny system, mine would be more finicky than most. Guess not. But I'm not sure that there is any way for me to figure out that a given link will be bad.
I never argued that it was *not* a normal youtube insert. But it remains the case that this computer does not do sound. There isn't a problem with the link at all (and a case could be made that I should just click on the circle "f" thing and get the visuals, so I would at least have the visual part of the ad). The problem is completely on this end, and James and Louie haven't been able to get sound out of this computer either. (I guess a case could be made that none of us were trying hard enough, but I don't think that's the case.)
