An old French say goes "no news is good news"...

Well, almost...

I'm sorry, but people need to take a chill pill. I don't understand why anyone's disappointed, upset, or furious.

I just want the swimmer back. That's all. Call me selfish I don't care, but I'm ready for him to be back in the pool. I know, I know...he'll get there soon enough. Still, that doesn't change my gut reaction.

I mean in a structured way. In a routine. He thrives on that and he hasn't had that in some time. I don't think I'd mind as much if he (or his people, whatever...) said that he wouldn't be back in Baltimore training. Yes, technically this is true and he is training, BUT there's an awful lot of distractions, ie: speaking engagements, that are detracting from that core structure and routine needed for training at an elite level.

Maybe you have a different point of view. And it's good but sorry, I don't.
My angry mood is just a cloud, it will pass...

I think most of us are a little pissed because he's been saying time and again that he was gonna go back in the pool to train for these events, but obviously we're seeing quite the contrary. I understand that he can't go back to the grueling training routine he went through to get to Bejing, but it's like ever since post-Beijing to now he's been in the pool, what like 3 times? I think if he wanted to take preparing for swimming events seriously, he would've talked to his people about his priorities and they would've found a way to come up with a schedule he could handle.
