life updation
well hello lj world. again its been a while.
the spring semester had a good ending. ended up with grades i can't complain about and got to spend a good bit of time with a special someone ;).
it was a crazy transition from the spring to the summer semester: finished my last 2 exams on the last day (wednesday may 7). had meetings with the wesley foundation all day (pretty much) thursday and friday (8th/9th). my brother graduated au on saturday (10th)--so we did those festivities. i left for bham saturday night. kinda unpacked sunday (the 11th) and then packed for a backpacking trip. left early monday morning (the 12th) for the AT in north carolina. backpacked with my bro and dad until that thursday (the 15th) when we returned. unpacked/cleaned up friday (the 16th) and laura came down then for the weekend. went to the lake that saturday (the 17th). did church and more unpacking sunday. started work monday the 19th. my sister graduated on tuesday the 20th so we had family festivities then. i had a really busy first week back at work (even worked a little overtime). spent the long memorial day weekend in huntsville with laura and her family. and now its almost the end of another week. craziness.
as you could probably tell i haven't managed to scare off my girlfriend yet ;). all is going really well with our relationship now and i have to say i'm one lucky guy. she'll be heading to work at a camp in montana next weekend so i wont get to see her again after that till mid august :(. i hope we'll be able to survive a summer apart. they say absence makes the heart grow fonder. i hope that's true--i guess time will tell. i'd have to say i'd rather grow fonder with her still near-by but thats not really an option.
