Parker was relaxing, and trying to plan out the next few days. Having Isabel and Cedric here, as well as nearly everyone else she knew, was going to make it more fun. Although Cal was pretty damn worrying. She'd never been *this* kind of crazy.

Which reminded her, she had to call Weiss.

Speaking of phones....

Parker smiled, pleased to hear the voice on the other end of the line. "Harper. Hi. Calling to set up our next date?"

"Uh, about that."

[mparkerceo]

Parker lost her smile. "Yessss?" she asked.

[theharperisgood]

"Okay believe me when I say that if there has ever been a more pertinent case of it's not you, it's me, I'd be surprised."

[mparkerceo]

Parker took that apart and sat up, speechless for only a second. "You have got to be kidding me."

[theharperisgood]

"I wish I wasn't," Harper said. "But I have a chance to go home."

[mparkerceo]

"Home," Parker repeated in a dead voice, then facepalmed. "That's... wow. That's great."

Because the last time a guy gave her this speech, it was a lot worse. And hey, one date is only one date.

Maybe it was karma?

"I'm sorry, Parker," Harper said. "But I'm probably not going to be in Fandom when you come back."

[mparkerceo]

"Yeah. Me too." She shrugged, even with no one there to see it, and forced amusement into her voice. "Good luck with that getting home thing. I'll be... wishing you a good trip, I guess."

"Thanks, Parker," Harper grinned.

[mparkerceo]

"Sure. Thanks for two fun dates, Harper. Have a nice life."

Parker hung up, then facepalmed, laughing only a little bit hysterically.
