Parker got ready to go to Caritas, and considered the week so far.
Earlier in the day, she'd
sparred with English, who had some good moves, at least, and with
Joxer the Not Quite Mighty who did not, but was a good sport. At least among the pretty crop of new students, there was *some* competency showing up.
Graduation and the party after on Monday had been marked by
clarifying things with Walter about Nadia. Of course she could take care of Walter by herself, if she had to. Hiding the body was just the kind of thing Parker felt a friend should do, though. She'd also
talked with Angel about his further plans; having gotten him the forged P.I.'s license, she was still wondering how he was going to finance a business to back it up. Although she had a few ideas....
Tuesday was utterly taken over by new students, most of whom Parker still couldn't pick out of a crowd, but more importantly
Jack was back. With amnesia. Again. He was
not in great shape, but back. Which was more imporant than anything else. But she was still
damn worried about him. Talking to him
today made her feel a little better, but not by much.
Of course, there was the fact that he'd told her about Cam's interest in Jell-O wrestling, confirming what new guy
Greggie had said last night. Cam Mitchell might need an ass-kicking. Or John. Or both. Other new people she'd met: Peter Pevensie. Briar Moss. Tyler. Elle, Our Lady of the Manicure. Four (now Alec), who was not Dean, but was equally hot. Dawn, who was fun, and her roomie, Sam-who's-a-guy.
Many of them she'd met because of
Shirtless Day. Having gotten the idea after talking to Alanna, who mentioned shirtless guys in Trebond. Why not bring the tradition here, Parker had thought. And lo, it was
good. And got her thanked on the Radio. Always good to start the new term with a bang.
Except that some things couldn't be avoided; like
saying good-bye to Logan. He better not get arrested within his first month on his own, but it did seem likely. Saying
good-bye to Angel had been worse, though. She'd felt nowhere near as badly as
Callisto, though. Staying with her last night, with Rory, just seemed like best thing to do.
And because the week had been such chaos, she'd only gotten in one
phone call to Jarod. Seeing him tonight at Caritas was the first time since the Park, nakedness, then what came after last week.
Time to hit the town.
