Jarod wandered over a little while later, dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a white wifebeater. His hair was sticking up in some kind of modern design and he needed a shave.

He yawned and stretched, then kissed the top of her head. "Morning, Parker. Aren't you supposed to be in class or working or something? Not that I don't want you to be here, understand. It's a very nice surprise."

Parker grinned in appreciation of the view and said, "I'm supposed to be opening the Library. Angela's covering it for me, I'm going to do it for her tomorrow. Or switch off if Zero wants, and do hers Wednesday. And I don't have class until Tactics at seven in the evening." She shrugged. "We're not going to get that many chances to do this, I think. So... Here I am."

He sat down on the grass next to her. "Yes, here we are. Thanks for putting up with all this nature."

Parker looked around. "It is very pretty. I'll give it that. And private. But..." She kicked away a grasshopper trying to climb up her jeans leg. "A little too infested for my taste, all the time."

A squirrel off to the side cocked its head at Parker, and she cocked hers back at it. "And it has the disadvantage of not being conveniently located right next to the school. And I don't think camping outside the gate would accomplish much."
