Over the last week, Parker had noticed things going missing. Contacts who weren't checking in. Places which apparently weren't receiving information. And now, Jarod, Alex, Kyle, Broots, and Angelo were insisting that there never had been an Eddie who was a member of 7G Enterprises. It had always been 6G

It was a good thing Parker had already talked to Isabel, or she wouldn't have been very comforting. "Parker. Hey, Ronan."

"So I've had at least two people completely disappear," Ronan said. Who needed any kind of preamble? "To the point where there's not even any evidence of them in the Manual. Thoughts?"

Ronan maybe sounded a liiiittle worried.

"You're not crazy. And you're not alone." Parker grimaced. "Which is about all the comfort I can offer you on this."

"Comfort enough," Ronan said, his mouth turning up just a little at the corners. "This just means it's something we can fight."

He hoped. "Do you remember me mentioning Filif?" Ronan asked. "The Christmas tree alien."

"Yes," Parker said definitely. "That one stuck with me. And Carmela, and... okay, I don't remember a lot of the rest, but." It struck her that Ronan was there, and he and Anders had been the ones to rescue Eddie almost two years ago. "Remember the name of the guy you and Anders helped get out of the Centre, a year ago January?"

"... Not off-hand," Ronan replied. "Uh, give me a second."

He'd used the Mason's Word to break into the cell, Ronan remembered -- the guy had complained about physics not working that way. "Edward? No -- Eddie?"

"Yes. You at least remember he exists. No one here besides me does." Parker sighed. "Isabel remembers too. And she just had a very disturbing encounter of her own. We have no idea what's happening."

[hotceltogoth]

Ronan shook his head. "I'm not sure disturbing even begins to cover it," he said. "It's. Like they've been erased. But what could do that? Across different universes, all at the same time?"

[mparkerceo]

"No idea. I'm going to go to Fandom in a week or so, if I can get time. Maybe see if the Library there has any information." She sighed. "Isabel reminded me of those weird angels-- with the time travel, remember? Maybe someone's changing the past? And we're just seeing it now?"

"I've got space," Ronan offered immediately. "May not have room service, but the food's home-cooked."

"I might do that, depending on how long I have to stay." Or if the Presidential suite was taken. "Have you heard of this happening to anyone else?"

"You're the first I called," Ronan said. "But I've been a little busy the last few weeks, so I don't know that I'd have heard yet."

Parker smiled at that, and said, "I still have to check in with Xander and Bridge, and Zero. But you'll probably see me at some point next week, or the week after, so I can get some research time in. Anything else going on this week on Crazy Island?"

"There were kids on the weekend!" Kids were awesome, and kinda hilarious. "The kind where people turn into them, not the kind where we meet ours from possible futures."

"Good, because if Katrina showed up again, I'd expect a phone all," Parker said, amused. "You didn't get changed this time?"
