Parker looked around her at the seven children she'd picked up. Six of them thought they were only children

Jeff stood off to the side, feeling very self-conscious sorrounded by so many other kids.

"Here, Jeff. I think this is enough to top off yours." Parker patted him on the shoulder as she opened the bag and dumped it into his pillowcase. "You ready?"

Jeff nodded and held on to his pillowcase. "Uh huh!"

Sophia, her pillowcase half full of popcorn, walked over to stand next to him. "Do you want to help me fill my pillowcase?" she offered, 'cause he looked kind of freaked, and daddy was always nice to people who were freaked.
