Have you tried logging out and logging back in? That sometimes helps! Also, is it the same when you're logged in with the mod account and when you're logged as you?
And weirdly enough, this comment of yours was screened. *rolls eyes*
I don't know. Usually, if I log out and then come back into the site as an anonymous user, I can't see my test post. This time, I could see it. And it was counted as a comment. I'm at a loss.
I'd ask you to leave a comment, but it doesn't matter if it's me or the mod acct.--I can read the comments either way. Unless... could you leave a comment and I'll slide in as an anonymous user again and see if I can read yours...?
By the way, how are you? We were on vacation, and I owe you a long, long email... *hugs*
For the record, it does seem to show that my comment is screened. However, this comment I could reply to because it came up as not screened. I cannot reply to the one I just left, though.
That should be a good thing because it means that the comments are screened until YOU unscreen them.
I love you. You care. :) I noticed that these comments were screened, but I still don't know why the comments HERE for me were screened and uncounted when I came in anonymously, but were counted in the other post. It makes no sense to me.
Sigh. I am changing my user name to 'Dianederthal'. Has a certain ring to it. :) I love your Eeyore icons, by the way. He's one of my favorites.
Of course, I care!brighty18August 16 2010, 00:58:13 UTC
I have Eeyore, everything, just about: stuffed animals, coffee mugs, clothing, icons, keychains, etc. I'm a big fan of his!
I've noticed the same thing about comments being counted and have now gotten to the point that I just ignore it. Depending on your layout, you should be able to visually tell of comments are screened. In most, standard layouts there is this "header band" on each comment were you can see the user name, IP address, etc. If it's blue the comment is unscreened and if it's grey the comment is screened.
But not all layouts have that feature. For example, the MarauderBigBang one does NOT, so I have to look to see if it says "Unscreen to reply" at the end of each comment. If it does, you're golden.
I suck at shit like this, but have learned a lot of lessons the hard way.

I'll have to look for that and for the 'Unscreen to reply' thingie.
I appreciate the tips--I feel less suck-ish knowing you've had grief with this, too. *hugs*
