At HQ

So after I got back to HQ, Riz and Kay had some news for me. First was that Salene and Amber were out in the market trying to convince the other tribes to help form search parties to find the missing, and a militia to help stop these "Vidheads", who seem to be scaring the traders away. Also something about a hospital staff. Volunteers are ( Read more... )

"Anyone home?" May peered in and narrowed her eyes upon seeing Moz. "Hear you're searching for some tribe mates." she leaned against the door frame.

Moz glared at May. "What are you doing here, Mallrat? This is my turf." She picked up her whip. "Better talk fast."

"What, you're not going to invite me in?" May smirked before straightening up, her eyes ever alert. "It's simple, Moz. You have some information I want, and I think I have some you need. Straight up exchange, what do you say?"

Moz studied May for a long minute, not replying. She didn't doubt that ex-outcast had contacts she could call upon to learn information even she herself couldn't now that she'd been gone so long. Still, May was a Mallrat, and her presence here was suspicous and unwelcome. Curiosity warred with suspicion, and won. "I hope for your sake your information is worth my time...Come in."

May accepted the invite to enter the Mozzie HQ, but made sure to stay standing. A quick exit was always an option when Moz was involved. "I can tell you where Terri is." May decided that if Moz heard something she wanted to hear she'd be more willing to give up the info she had. Terri was another missing Mozzie she had run across by accident. "If you tell me why Cloe e-mailed you the other night."

Moz hesitated. The truth was she really didn't know why the Mallrat brat had contacted her. She'd never replied to her question, so she'd never bothered to go see her. Still, no reason to say more than neccessary, and if letting them think she'd been chatting with one of their tribemembers caused tension among the Mallrats, all the better. "She e-mailed me to meet with her." She supplied. "Didn't she tell any of you about it?"

"Well I wouldn't be here if she had now would I?" May replied cynically crossing her arms over her chest.

"How should I know? I still don't understand why you're here bugging me, instead of asking her." Moz retorted. "So? Where's Terri?"

May wasn't about to admit to the accident--which she still wasn't sure was an accident at all. Something had scared Cloe, and it wasn't just the fall. "You'll find Terri in Sector 8. Suffering from Game withdrawl." May decided Moz must not really know anything or she would be gloating about it by now. "Oh, one more thing I think you should know. During the Techno occupation, they put some girl on CityNet claiming she was a Mozzie, a real cry baby too. Alot of people believed it." With a wintry smile May exited the Mozzie HQ.

"WHAT?!?" Moz's voice followed May out the door. A moment later it was followed by the distinct sound of something breaking.
