We had some rain the last day or so. By some rain, i mean between 6" and 10" in this region. There was flooding all over. My new house (nearly, i settle this coming monday) backs up to a creek. the other two creeks that flank my creek flooded. one flooded so badly, people had to be rescued by boat from their homes. My sister went to my house today to take photos for me, as the crutches have really impaired my ability to do those sorts of things. the good news? the house is fine. the tiered back yard was completely covered, but the main yard was untouched. thankfully :D

This is the yard, regularly. These steps are about 6' high and there's about a 10' muddy walk-out to the water.

This is just for reference.
And these are from the flood:

The water came all the way up to the send to the top step in the back. But this is the most rain we've had since
1999, during Hurricane Floyd. And if it didn't flood now, i feel really safe. But still, that's some crazy amounts of water.
