The Turkey Story
Yesterday I was driving to work from my home for the first time. The traffic near Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital was nearly stand still, so while sitting I took the opportunity to enjoy the scenery. And then I see a turkey. A real live turkey. Standing on the sidewalk eating the grass. I get why the traffic was slow. Anyway, I drive along and try to snap a photo but with no luck.
So I'm driving home later in the day. Again, the traffic is stopped in the same place. Again I look around. This time I see a computer print out sign that says "Turkey Crossing" exactly where the turkey was in the morning. I started laughing and looking around to make sure no one saw me being crazy, but there, across the street in someone's yard WAS THE TURKEY! That damn turkey was just wandering around the hospital all freaking day and someone at least had the foresite to put up a sign.
