hiya!

i skipped yesterday because i'm awful at these things and also i was out all day at the shaw festival! it's basically this cool theatre in niagara-on-the-lake that only performs plays from shaw's time, and it's wicked sick. i had a lovely sandwichs, hung about with friends, got a shirt from cows (see below!!!) and saw oscar wilde's lady windmiere's fan

cows is the best store ever, basically

a very good day

4. What are you afraid of?

this question reminds me of nick grimshaw and annie mac the other night, playing confessions roulette on bbc radio 1 (so worth the watch if you haven't seen it) and

-side note: greg james and russell kane did something similar the day before and russell kane told the world that greg had a one night stand with RITA ORA. and the bbc like, edited the video afterwards so it didn't include that clip. and NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT THIS-

it really got me thinking because nick's fear was actually so like - a lot deeper than i'd think he would have gone for. i used to always think that my biggest fear was sleeping and never waking up, but i think that it's changed a bit to watching someone jump in front of a subway train. just absolutely terrifies me. to the point where when a train pulls into the station i have to close my eyes or turn around to face the wall. just awful.

5. 10 songs you love right now

only 10??? ergh.

chasing rubies - hudson taylor
a friend of mine is a massive fan of theirs, and she's just gotten me into them :) they're really lovely

misty blue - dorothy moore
this is my favourite song of all time, probably.

take it to the limit - the eagles
if you don't like the eagles i don't know what to say to you.

caves - jack's mannequin
andrew mcmahon is my life, my soul, my everything. i've seen him three times live and every time i have laughed and cried and never wanted to leave. this song is the most incredible song i've ever heard

the river - joni mitchell
darling joni's gained some massive attention ever since harry tweeted that song lyric about nick of her's, but as a canadian i've grown up with her on the radio and she's pretty much the best thing. ever. neil young and her covering helpless from the last waltz is also pretty groovy (and rick danko is a fucking fox)

these waters - ben howard
i have seen this in the flesh and it is the most attractive thing ever.

the writer - ellie goulding
in love with ellie goulding

tennis court - lorde
love it. don't care.

r u mine - the arctic monkeys
basically their entire discography? i'm extremely late to the bandwagon but i am all for all of it

i won't be found - the tallest man on earth
again, everything about him, his whole discography, i love it all. everything.

10 is not enough to fully express my overwhelming love for music, so here's a photo i took of the lumineers at osheaga festival bc it's lovely and they're lovely and i like to show off:
