last night i saw ed sheeran live.
and he was amazing like, holy fuck wow. just so humble and amazed by everything and like, the thing is - i live in toronto and to be completely honest, it tends to be the absolute only place in canada that bands play when they do a north american tour. they might pop into montreal as well, but that's about it
so originally when i got the magical ticket of magic to see him, it was at a small, sketchy bar called the kool haus, which might've held like, 800 people? but then, because he got huge here about 3 weeks afters his tickets sold, they moved venues.
to echo beach
5,000 people. crowds. lining up.
it was quite annoying, but that's alright because honestly, he was just phenomenal (and i'm not just saying that because we're married) and passenger was amazing, and toronto was the biggest show they played, and it was outside, right next to the toronto island airport, so planes flew by every 5 minutes but it didn't matter after the second song.
and he played a nina simone tune. which was - yeh, it was just all the things he is. starting with awesome.
if you can ever get a chance to see him in the next couple months, run to do so, because that boy is going to be playing 5,000..10,000..20,000 gigs pretty soon and those are the worst so yes.
"oh wow, this is so amazing, you guys. wow. canadians. wow"
-the humble and riveting ed sheeran
it was all very sweet.
so yes, that was my night. how was yours? :D
