It's nearly summer which means a. hot weather
It also brings b. time. Which sort of goes without saying. This past week has been quite stressful but lovely enough in the end. I've now time to finish my
nextgendarkfest story, which is just wonderful. And I can do some catching up on Dave Eggers books (A Heartbreaking Work is immediate classic, I'm loving it, loving it), watching some Doctor Who and hopefully producing some horribly short drabbles.
Some people do that thing - you know, a drabble a day keeps the spiders and cobwebs and awkward crickety noise of lj away. So I guess I could try that. I'm not very good at sticking to my own goals, but there's a first for everything.
Also - I'm competing with a couple friends of mine in the thing that's downtown called Sketch-Com-Aggedon. It's at the Comedy Bar, in Toronto, and it's actually a lot of fun, although I grumble a lot about not being able to get to Bloor too easily. It's a nice spot, kinda hidden, but in a nice area.
Speaking of Toronto and there abouts, I'd like to send a quick prayer (although I'm an atheist, I still believe in praying to the world for people's well being. God doesn't make miracles, people do) to a five year old girl who was killed yesterday.
She died while crossing Yonge Street with her mum. She was hit by a car and later pronouced dead at SickKids hospital. I'm not sure of the little girl's name or any other things that make her who she was. But I still hope her family is staying strong in the time of great despair.
I hope everyone and anyone reading this has a lovely rest of June, a spectacular Canada Day, a fanta-tastic Fourth of July and a wonderful summer.
Love and Affection,
-Mozarts
