Well, another Christmas has come and gone. Boxing Day always makes me sad because we spend a month getting all excited about Christmas, and it always goes by so fast. But, I hope that all of you that celebrate it had a wonderful day with your loved ones. :) I look forward to hearing about how your day went on your LJ's.
On Christmas Eve, after work, we spent the evening with my dad's side of the family. That's the Italian side so the meal was full of fish, and anything else fish related, as is tradition. The food was delicious. And, because I'd just finished at work and I was starving, I ate everything in record time. lol. When we got home, I watched the 1951 version of "A Christmas Carol" with my parents and my sister, like we do every year. It's such a fantastic version. No one plays Scrooge better than Alistair Sims. I can't remember a Christmas going by without watching that movie on Christmas Eve. We also watched "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean". I love that guy! lol.
Christmas morning is always my favourite, because it's just the four of us and we spent a couple of hours taking our time, listening to carols while opening our presents. I got a ton of great gifts this year!
MOVIES: A Streetcar Named Desire, Superman Returns, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and The Little Mermaid
T.V.: House Season One and Two, Oz Season One, and the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth)
ODDS AND ENDS: Sarah Jessica Parker's perfume Lovely, a Sex and the City calendar, two books (Darkly Dreaming Dexter and L.A. Confidential), a couple of necklaces, etc.
MY FAVOURITE PRESENT: A Jimmy Dean purse!!!! It's a picture of him and Marilyn Monroe together! I love it... it's so gorgeous. My parents bought it for me and I flipped. lol.
So, how was everyone's Christmas? :)
Now, I'm off to work. I've never worked Boxing Day before so I'm sure I will be overwhelmed. lol. But, on the bright side, I'm going to my friend Lee's holiday party right afterward so I have something fun to look forward to. :)
