Celebrity Post and a Meme...

I love Harrison Ford. I just felt like giving him some random lovin. Someone on my FList made a brief post on him today and it just made me swoon. There is no sexier hero than Indiana Jones! I defy any one to deny it!

I must go buy season two of "Six Feet Under". I think I will do that this weekend.I must continue my growing affection for the Fisher family.

For those on my FList who watch "Deadwood"...how is season three going? What are Al Swearengen and all the other cocksuckers up too? Seeing as I live in Canada and we don't get HBO I have to wait an entire year for the DVD release. Boo-urns!

I'm not a huge Hugh Jackman fan but he's on the cover of Premiere magazine this month and the article with him is really great. He's very honest and insightful and gives very detailed answers to the interviewers' questions. I really like down-to-earth celebs.

Also, in the same Premiere issue they did a ten year anniversary recap of "Trainspotting", which made me happy. How much do I love the film, Ewan McGregor and Irvine Welsh's novel? THIIISS MUCH! I loved reading about the thoughts that cast and crew had about the film, after all these years. It's definately, in my opinion, NOT "shite being Scottish".

I want to watch "Little Miss Sunshine". Has anyone seen it yet? How is it?

As tagged by bluesilverkdg. Reply and I'll give you a letter, and you have to find five songs that start with that letter and post them to your journal.

FIVE RANDOM SONGS, that just popped into my head (and will show my eclectic musical tastes):

I got the letter I:

1)"I'm A Believer" THE MONKEES: I've loved them since I was a child. I never used to miss an episode of their show and I love popping in their Greatest Hits CD every now and then. It sends me back to my childhood. Plus, I always thought Davy was so adorable. And wonderfully British. lol. Looking back on the show, I couldn't sit through an episode now. But as a child there were good times to be had. ;)

2)"I Do It For You" BRYAN ADAMS: I've loved him too, ever since I heard this song as a child on the "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" soundtrack. It's sappy and corny but everytime I hear it, I turn it up to full volume. I guess it's the perfect song for the hopeless romantic part of me. Plus, I love the movie (no matter how many bad things you may say about it, it's one of my guilty pleasures). How great is Alan Rickman? "Locksley! I'm going to cut your heart out with a SPOON!" Pure camp.

3)"I'll Be There For You" BON JOVI: By far, one of their best songs. When I saw them live in concert, back in 2000, the whole crowd got so into it, to the point where Jon let us take over the chorus. Hearing an entire stadium singing, with lighters high up in the air, was so incredible. Still remains one of my best concert experiences. And I went with my dad. It was awesome.

4)"I'd Do Anything" from the OLIVER soundtrack: I love musicals. In fact, I'm seeing this one live in Stratford, Ontario in two weeks. I love the 1968 film version of this musical with Ron Moody and Jack Wild. It's so loud. And fun. And so Victorian. Plus, how cute is fifteen year old Jack Wild when he sings this song in his cockney accent? It just doesn't get any better than this.

5)"I Wanna Be A Producer" from THE PRODUCERS: I saw this play when it was here in Toronto, plus I have the new movie version on DVD. I adore Mel Brooks and I thought this song was so much fun. When I saw it live I loved the elaborate set and all the tap dancing. It makes me want to be a famous producer with "a great big casting couch". I adore Matthew Broderick (as well as Michael Therriault who played Leo Bloom here in Toronto), so that also helped in my love for this song and the choreography.

the monkees, the producers, michael therriault, oliver, six feet under, premiere, deadwood, ewan mcgregor, matthew broderick, irvine welsh, meme, jack wild, harrison ford, indiana jones, robin hood, trainspotting
