Well, I'm back at school tomorrow. I only have three courses this year, as I intend to graduate in April 2008. Here's hoping everything goes well. I'm not complaining too much. I like school. I'm nerdy like that. ;)
I took this meme from
friday82. I think I've done it before but meme's on movies are always a good thing and I know most of you on my FList love film as much as I do.
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times:
Ten times? I've seen movies that I DON'T like ten times. lol. That's nothing. But movies that I know I've seen so many times I can't keep count would be Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Amadeus, Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Sound of Music, etc. There are just too many to mention.
2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theatre:
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the only movie I've seen five times in theatres. Every other film I watch multiple times in theatres have been between 2-4 times. I've also seen: The Two Towers, The Return of the King, Gladiator, Titanic, Moulin Rouge, and a few others I can't remember.
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to see a movie:
Russell Crowe, Al Pacino, Joaquin Phoenix, Kate Winslet, Daniel Day-Lewis, Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor, Christian Bale, Harrison Ford, Robert Downey Jr., Dustin Hoffman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jack Nicholson, Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush, Tim Roth, Hugh Laurie, Edward Norton, Jim Carrey and Brad Pitt (because, well, just look at him!). I'm sure there are others I'm missing but those are the first people that come to mind.
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to see a movie:
Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Sylvester Stallone, Sharon Stone, Julia Roberts, Lindsay Lohan, Christian Slater. Again, I know there are other people who bug me but I can't remember them all.
5. Name a movie that you can quote from:
I can quote from every movie that I love. The same goes with television shows. So, basically, anything. :)
6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs:
Grease, The Sound of Music, The King and I, West Side Story, Moulin Rouge.
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with:
None. I don't sing. I wouldn't put people through that kind of torture.
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see:
Just one? I'd go with The Godfather. It's one of those rare Hollywood classics that actually lives up to its hype. Not only do you get a nearly perfect script, a memorable score and one of the greatest living directors, but you get one of the best casts put on screen.
9. Name a movie that you own:
Seeing as I have well over two hundred DVD's, only picking one is kind of hard and random. But I'd go with Amadeus: Director's Cut. Just because it's one of my favourite movies.
10.Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops:
I suppose Mark Wahlberg. He's not amazing but he's by no means terrible. He's a really decent actor when given the right role. He's Marky Mark no longer. lol.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in?
No. And it makes me sad.
12. Ever made out in a movie? In the movie theatre?
No way! I'm too big of a movie fan. lol. There is a time and place for making out. It's just not happening in a theatre. Actually, I lied. It happened once. During that movie The Recruit. It was so boring.
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it:
There are tons, especially some of the classics from the 1940's and 1950's. But one of the big ones is The General, with Buster Keaton.
14. Ever walked out of a movie?
I don't walk out but I will either fall asleep or get up and wander around outside, then come back in. So, I've fallen asleep/wandered during Dreamcatchers, Sin City and The Matrix Reloaded.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theatre:
Oh, I cry so easily. I used to bawl during Titanic. But I can also cry quietly, which I remember doing with Gladiator and Finding Neverland, among others.
16. Popcorn?
Always. It's not a proper movie theatre experience without it.
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?:
I almost never rent movies. If I want to see something I will go out and see it. I see a lot, I guess. Depending on if it's a good year.
18. What's the last movie you saw in the theatre?
The Bourne Ultimatum.
19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Drama or a historical/period film.
20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theatre?
My mom told me the first movie I saw was a re-release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but I don't remember that. The first two movies I remember seeing are The Little Mermaid and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
I can't think of just one. But I know there are a lot.
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Donnie Darko: Director's Cut.
23. What is the scariest movie you've seen?
When I was younger it was The Exorcist. Now? I don't know. I don't scare easily.
24. What is the funniest movie you've seen?
I can't think of just one, so here are a few: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Young Frankenstein, The Austin Powers trilogy, The Pink Panther Strikes Again, Dumb and Dumber, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Clueless, The Producers (both 1968 and 2005), Blazing Saddles, Bridget Jones' Diary and The Big Lebowski.
