My very first entry

I don't know if anyone will ever read this but I thought I might as well give it a try. The bravery to put this out there may have come from the really well worded (in my opinion) comment I just made in defense of a fic that I really like. Or it could be that I am so tired that I don't know what the hell I am doing.

If anyone is reading this, my name is Sara and I live in SC. I work at a children's retail store (large chain stuffed animal store) as a manager. If anyone was at a mall today (Good Friday), they will understand why I am so tired. Tons of people out for last minute presents from the Easter Bunny. One thing it gave me the opportunity to do is people watch, which is something I love to do in my store, because it has these huge windows that look over a very crowded intersection of my mall. My overall impression from today: Why is it that the second the temperature goes up, people's taste in clothing goes right down the toilet? I mean, last week people were practically in parkas, and today it is tube tops that stop about 6 inches from the belly button, skirts that are lucky if they are 6 inches long, and totally inappropriate for the mall shoes. And those are the women over 35! One example that I will be having nightmares about, this one woman came in with one of those one piece denim things, you know, the top and the bottoms are connected. That alone is wrong for so many different body types. But this one also had these triangular cut-outs at the hips with denim strips holding it together. If that was not bad enough, you could see her underwear through the cut-outs. It was horrible.

Well, I think that was enough of me pontificating about bad mall clothes. I will try not to do that very often. I don't know how this journal will work, how often I will post, or if anyone will ever read it, but I guess we will all find out together.
