Well, well, not really
I haven't been updating coz I'm busy with the little one and the festive stuff. Excuse, I know.
Tot I will blog about this and let kwanzee know that our school friend had passed on on xmas morning. Ben's life was claimed by the Singapore river.
He and I or the rest of the friends haven't been in contact. The last time I saw him at a mall was while I was half way pregnant and that was last year. The chap is rather elusive and don't return our sms. I even forgotten about inviting him to my place for a xmas gathering. Well... he wouldn't have made it anyway. :(
This morning while I was reading last Fri's paper and that's when I came across this article of a man who drowned. The description and name made me feel uneasy. I called up some friends who in turn did their own sleuthing and we confirmed that indeed Ben is the victim. He is survived by a wife (and better off with no kids). The wake is already over and we all don't know his exact address. No one will ever know how and why he ended up this way. I recalled our times together, like having group dinner after practising martial arts (yah, i was once sporty) and how I ever had a small crush on this guy at one time. His unique laughter. Ben, you were an enigma in your own way. I hope you had been happy.
So farewell Ben, RIP. We will all miss you. :~(
ETA: Wah piang, thanks for the concern over IM. BUT I dunno how he died exactly, so don't ask me how. Could anyone be even more insensitive?! *peeved*
