On law essays...

..I will only say one thing -

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid. I have one tort essay, one contract essay. It's been a week and I'm not done. I am so sick and tired of quoting Donoghue v Stevenson and blah blah blah... omg I can even remember the years in which some of these cases went to court!!! I mean, this should be something natural but like I've only been doing law for less than a month and the fact that I remember this crap is scaring me.. It's not a bad thing but it's like... erps. Usually I need to make a conscious effort to remember? But okay, I really like doing law. Nothing else... no regrets. Okay sometimes I regret that I'm not majoring in Eng. Lit., but overall, I am happy... I think. One thing is for sure - I know I am blessed :) That's all that matters, really.

One thing about studying law is that you realise how screwed up this world is. And that I am, apparently, not the biggest loser yet. There are people with more loser stories and their cases are really hilarious. I actually like what I am doing; although I will also be quick to admit that the essays are hell.

I also have a psychology essay on decision-making in the jury! I really like the jury system. I've come to appreciate it... but it's really like piss when you have to write an essay on the RESEARCH (OMG) and all the hypotheses that people come up with decision-making in juries... yuck. I also have a really useless english coursework to do, but I can probably whip something up in an hour. Thank God!

But I am so thankful for this half-term. I mean I am pretty frustrated cause I haven't done ANYTHING, but I am glad I had a break.

I also cooked my first meal. Yeah, I know I've been here for 2 months but trust me I have been eating out/ordering in/throwing things into the microwave. I've never touched raw meat in my LIFE (even in home econs i never did it... i always made sure my partner did that stuff) and today i did. I didn't know how to marinate chicken so i just picked out some crap from Tesco and threw it all in and voila, it tasted SO GOOD. So good that my german friend wants to marry me now ;) Alas, I am not lesbian.

It's getting cold and daylight savings starts this Sunday... I hate it when the sun sets early. Ergh.

Meanwhile, Ahmedo is back and I am ELATED! I missed him so much this week; the house is not the same when he is not around. But it was also nice to get some peace and quiet in the house :P

Well..... I have to go finish my essays and sorting out my cases adjkhasfjklfsf

I hope I finish all my assignments; bonfire night is next week and I'm hoping we'll all have time to have a BBQ in the backyard and make a bonfire! And we'll get fireworks WOOHOO!

Hope all is well back home :)

xx
